OUR STORY

R1SE Urban Spa is the culmination of a journey that began with a deep personal transformation. After years of building successful businesses, founders Chris and Jen Downham faced an unexpected challenge—they became victims of fraud. In their 40s, they were presented with a unique opportunity: to start anew. But this time, their focus wasn’t on material wealth. Instead, they sought something far more meaningful—health, well-being, longevity, a pain-free existence, peace, energy, and a strong, supportive community.

In November 2017, in the heart of Kelham Island, Sheffield, R1SE was born. What started as a vision to create a space where people could recharge and thrive has grown into a vibrant wellness community that continues to inspire and transform lives.

Through a carefully curated selection of services—ranging from Finnish saunas and ice baths to red light therapy, compression therapy, and Gua Sha massage—we help you harness your energy, find balance, and achieve transformation.
