By R1SE Academy
A 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is the foundation route for becoming a qualified yoga teacher. At R1SE Academy, it is also a practical studio experience: you train in the same spaces where real classes happen, with tutors who understand both the tradition and the reality of modern teaching.
Practice becomes a laboratory
You will still move, breathe, sweat, and practise. The difference is that you begin to study the class from the inside. Why does a sequence build in a certain way? How does breath change intensity? What makes a cue land? How do you support different bodies in the same room?
You learn the body in context
Anatomy is not there to make you sound clever. It helps you teach clearly and keep people safe. Expect to explore joints, muscles, movement patterns, common restrictions, and how to adapt a class without losing its flow.
You practise teaching from early on
Confidence grows by doing. You will teach short sections, receive feedback, refine your language, and learn how to manage nerves. Over time those short moments become longer, smoother, and more natural.
Philosophy becomes lived rather than abstract
Yoga history and philosophy matter most when they shape how you teach and how you relate to people. We look at the roots of the practice while keeping the conversation relevant to real lives, real bodies, and real studio spaces.
The cohort matters
Teacher training can be intense in the best way. Having a supportive group around you makes the work lighter, more honest, and more fun. You are not just collecting information; you are learning how to hold a room.
