Red + PEMF + Beats
01 · Three modalities, one session
Three cellular signals running in parallel.
R1SE bundles three complementary modalities into a single 30-minute experience because they work on different systems simultaneously — cellular, electromagnetic, and neural. Stacked, the effect is greater than the sum.
Red Light Therapy
630–660nm red + 810–850nm near-infrared
Clinical-grade wavelengths delivered from the bed's LED panels. Red light absorbed in skin and shallow tissue (2–10mm); near-infrared penetrates deep (30–40mm) for muscle, joint, and brain effects. The mechanism is cytochrome c oxidase activation in mitochondria — more ATP, less oxidative stress, faster cellular repair.
PEMF Therapy
Pulsed electromagnetic field, integrated mat
Low-frequency electromagnetic pulses pass through the body, supporting cellular communication, reducing inflammation, and (per the original FDA-cleared application) supporting bone healing. R1SE's PEMF runs through a mat integrated with the red light bed — one session, both modalities.
Binaural Beats
Headset, brainwave entrainment
A headset delivers two slightly different frequencies to each ear. Your brain perceives the difference as a pulsing beat, gently guiding brainwave activity into deep relaxation and recovery states. Combined with the calm of the bed and the cellular signalling of red light + PEMF, this completes the cellular-and-nervous-system reset.
02 · A session, step by step
What 30 minutes on the bed actually looks like.
Arrive 5 minutes early
Kelham Urban Spa, 8 Shepherd Street. Check in and get directed to the bed. The team will brief you if it's your first session.
Settle on the bed
The bed is large, padded, and warm. You lie on your back. The PEMF mat sits beneath you; the red light panels arc above. The headset for binaural beats is provided.
Eye protection on
Goggles or eye covers protect your eyes from direct light exposure. Red light at therapeutic doses isn't harmful, but direct prolonged exposure is uncomfortable.
30 minutes of cellular signalling
Red light + PEMF + binaural beats run simultaneously for 30 minutes. Most members fall into a meditative or sleep-adjacent state within 5–10 minutes. You don't need to do anything — the protocols run themselves.
Slow exit
The bed gradually returns to ambient. Take a minute to sit up. Most members feel calm, slightly warm, and pleasantly heavy. The cellular signal continues working for hours after exit.
03 · Two ways to book
Standalone or the full Wellness Experience.
Standalone 30-min Session
30 minutes
Includes: Red light + PEMF + binaural beats
Best for: Members who want the cellular-and-nervous-system reset without committing to the longer Wellness Experience. Sustainable as a 1–2× weekly practice.
Wellness Experience (75-min)
75 minutes
Includes: Red light + PEMF + binaural beats → Compression Therapy → optional Fire & Ice
Best for: The full recovery journey. The flagship guided experience. Best for first-time members, members deep into protocol practice, or anyone wanting the full cellular — circulatory — thermal stack in one session.
Common questions
